Scars of Xavier is one of those films that really encapsulates the feel of urban isolation. The atmosphere is thick, and you can almost feel the dampness of Prague's streets as our protagonist, a car wash attendant, slips into his dark side. It’s a slow burn; the pacing gives you time to stew in the tension, heightening each moment of dread. The practical effects are pretty well done, adding to the visceral experience without overdoing it. The performances, especially from the lead, carry a certain weight that makes the character’s dual life all the more haunting. There's a strange romance woven into the horror, which adds depth and makes you question morality without giving easy answers. Definitely a unique take within the genre.
