Scooby Goes Hollywood is a curious blend of animation and comedy, emblematic of late '70s TV movies. The pacing is a bit laid-back, allowing for some fun character moments – especially with Shaggy and Scooby's antics as they try to break into Hollywood. The film presents a whimsical take on fame, poking fun at the industry while still keeping that classic Scooby-Doo charm. The voice performances are solid, with Don Messick as Scooby really shining. There’s a certain nostalgia in the animation style too, typical of Hanna-Barbera, although it might feel a touch dated for some. Still, it’s charming in its own way, capturing that sweet spot of its era, and there’s something endearing about their quest for stardom.
