So, 'Seule' is an interesting little film from 2017 that really captures that raw feeling of post-breakup life. Annie, the main character, spends her January organizing her new apartment, and it’s all a bit chaotic, sort of mirroring her emotional state. The film has this low-key, almost intimate atmosphere, which I think works well for the story. The pacing is deliberately slow, allowing us to sit with Annie's thoughts and feelings. It’s not flashy, but the performances are grounded and real, especially the lead. The practical effects or lack thereof really add to the authenticity—nothing feels overdone here. It's a unique take on healing and self-discovery, which I found quite refreshing.
Captures the essence of post-breakup recovery.Realistic performances with a grounded approach.A distinctively slow pacing that invites reflection.
