Shackled is one of those films that plays with your mind, right from the moody opening. The atmosphere is thick, almost stifling, as Elang's descent into madness mirrors the claustrophobic feel of his flat. The rabbit costume killer is unsettling—not just for shock value but symbolically, it represents the absurdity of fear. There are some practical effects here that stand out, not overdone but effective. The pacing is deliberate, which might not be for everyone, but it builds tension nicely; you can't help but feel the walls closing in around Elang. Performances are solid, especially the lead. Upi captures a uniquely eerie vibe that lingers long after the credits roll—definitely a distinctive entry in the indie horror scene.
