Shades of Gray is quite an interesting piece from '97. It blends action and thriller elements with a unique premise—centering on a sketch artist. The lead, with her haunting past and struggles, really adds depth to the story. It’s got this moody atmosphere, enhanced by practical effects that age surprisingly well. The pacing, though, can feel a bit uneven at times—like it’s unsure whether to linger in suspense or rush toward action. Still, there’s something distinctively engaging about how it explores themes of memory and trauma. And the performances, while not over-the-top, hold a certain rawness that keeps you invested. Definitely a lesser-known entry worth a look for collectors of the genre.
