So, 'She Was So Scared' is this little gem from 2013 that really leans into the tense atmosphere of isolation. You’ve got three friends on a summer road trip, and they find themselves at this deserted service station, which just nails the creepiness vibe. Manu gets locked in, and Clari and Lu are left scrambling to figure things out. The pacing is pretty tight, with moments of dread that build up nicely. And while the director remains a bit of a mystery, the performances do a solid job of conveying that palpable fear. It feels very raw, especially with the practical effects, which adds a layer of authenticity that’s often missing in more polished horror films. Definitely one of those films that sticks with you.
This film hasn't seen a lot of widespread release, which makes it a bit of a hidden treasure in small indie horror circles. If you’re into collecting lesser-known titles, this one’s worth tracking down. The scarcity adds to its appeal; there aren’t many copies floating around, especially in good condition. Fans of practical effects and raw storytelling seem to appreciate it, making it a conversation piece for any horror collection.
