Shicozzila (2019) is one of those oddball films that’s hard to pin down. It’s got this blend of action and science fiction that draws you in, though the direction feels a bit off. The atmosphere? Dark, moody, almost claustrophobic at times, especially when they dive into that underwater city. The pacing has its moments – some scenes drag, while others hit with an unexpected intensity. They really leaned into practical effects, which gives it a raw feel that’s kind of refreshing. The performances are interesting; you can see some actors really pushing their limits, even if the script doesn't always support them. It’s not going to break your top ten, but there’s something weirdly compelling about it that sticks with you.
Interesting blend of practical effects and CGI.The atmosphere is dark and claustrophobic.Pacing has its ups and downs, but it adds to the experience.
