Silk Degrees is an interesting piece from '94, blending action with some tense thriller vibes. The plot kicks off with a woman accidentally stumbling into a mob hit, and she’s got to lay low under the watch of two no-nonsense federal agents. The atmosphere is thick with paranoia and suspense, which I found engaging. There's a certain grit to the performances; the agents bring a rugged charm, and the lead manages to convey that mix of fear and resilience pretty well. Pacing fluctuates, sometimes veering towards drawn-out moments, but it adds to that sense of dread. Practical effects—when they show up—give it that raw edge. It’s not groundbreaking, but it definitely has its own kind of charm in the execution of familiar themes.
