So, 'Single' is one of those indie films that plays with the awkwardness of dating and relationships in a pretty relatable way. The main character, a guy who's just drifting through life, is really a study in contrast against his brother, who's got it all together. The humor is mixed with a fair amount of cringe, which is kind of the point, right? You feel for him, even when he's being, well, pathetic. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but it adds to that feeling of uncertainty that comes with trying to date. It’s not about grand gestures, but the little moments that make you laugh and sigh. The performances are solid too, capturing that weird blend of hope and despair in dating.
