Slasher Party has this eerie undertone that builds as the night unfolds, really nailing that sense of dread. You’ve got this group of young influencers who are completely oblivious to the danger lurking around them, which is a nice twist on the typical slasher formula. The pacing drags a bit in the early going, setting up the characters and their shallow dynamics, but once the blood starts to spill, it really picks up. The practical effects are surprisingly solid, and some of the kill sequences are genuinely creative. There's this ironic commentary on social media culture that plays out in the background, which adds depth to what could've been just another mindless slasher flick. The performances vary, but they fit the archetypes well enough to keep you engaged.
