Snot-Rag is a rather peculiar slice of drama. It dives deep into isolation, obsession, and the absurdity of human behavior. Bagpuss, our main character, is such an intriguing study in extremes—deciding to catch her neighbor's cold is both bizarre and oddly relatable. The pacing ebbs and flows like a fever dream, sometimes lingering on moments of stillness and then rushing through the chaotic aftermath of her decision. The atmosphere is thick with tension and an almost palpable sense of discomfort. The practical effects, especially in depicting the physical manifestations of her obsession, are surprisingly effective. It's a unique take on themes of connection and the lengths we go to feel something, even if it’s a virus. Performances are raw and honest, giving it an edge that’s hard to shake off.
