Snow Job is a curious blend of comedy and thriller, directed by Luciano Salce in '65. It’s got a laid-back yet tense vibe, very much reflective of the Italian genre mix from that era. Lucio, our hapless protagonist, gets swept into a counterfeit dollar scheme while on what should be a peaceful Alps holiday. The pacing bounces between slapstick humor and unexpected thrills, keeping you engaged without overstaying its welcome. Performances are a bit exaggerated, but it adds to the charm, right? The snowy backdrop is beautifully captured, and there's a certain authenticity to the practical effects in the chases. It’s not your typical heist flick, with a lighter tone that feels distinctly European.
