Soda Pop Head is this quirky gem from '98 that really dives into the absurd. The animation style is sort of rough around the edges, which adds to the whole bizarre vibe of the film. You follow this guy whose head literally gets blown off due to some soda pop mishap, and from there it’s a wild ride through his strange quest for compensation in Akron. The pacing feels a bit off at times, but it kind of fits with the off-kilter theme. The practical effects, although not top-notch by today’s standards, have this charm that feels like a throwback. It's definitely got its own unique atmosphere, mixing dark humor with a satirical take on consumer culture. Not your everyday animated flick, for sure.
