After a life-altering traffic accident, she finds herself haunted by vivid nightmares and, bizarrely, the perspective of a serial killer lurking in her town. The atmosphere is gritty, capturing that small-town feel in the Ruhr area, which really adds to the tension. The pacing can be a bit uneven at times, but it ramps up effectively as Maria’s spiral into paranoia deepens. I find the practical effects to be a nice touch, giving it that raw edge. The performances, especially from the lead, do a lot to carry the film's heavier themes of trauma and fear.
