Spaceship Sagittarius is pretty interesting for a 1982 pilot. It takes its roots from Andrea Romoli's Italian comic 'Altri Mondi', which gives it a unique visual flair. The animation style is distinctive, quite different from what you'd find in mainstream productions of that era. The pacing is brisk, which works for its six-minute length, but you get a feel for the universe it tries to create. Atmospherically, it has this blend of adventure and sci-fi, not taking itself too seriously, which is refreshing. The practical effects, while limited, have a certain charm that adds to its character. The whole endeavor feels experimental, like they were trying to push the boundaries of animation, even if it didn't quite catch on.
