The visuals are a patchwork of practical effects, often feeling more charming than polished. The pacing can be uneven, with some drawn-out sequences, but it adds to the quirky atmosphere. The performances are quite interesting; you can see the commitment to the material, even if it feels over-the-top at points. The film’s exploration of intergalactic diplomacy, of all things, feels ambitious, albeit rather absurd at times. Definitely a unique title for any sci-fi collection.
