Suddenly (2013) has this gritty, tense atmosphere that draws you in right from the start. The premise of these assassins posing as Secret Service agents is quite clever, and it's intriguing how it plays out in that seemingly quiet town. The pacing really builds up the suspense, especially with Ellen, the war-widow, caught in the middle of it all. I found the performances to be solid, with a standout portrayal by the lead who brings depth to a character that's usually just a plot device. The practical effects are decent for a smaller production, which adds to the overall gritty feel. It’s not your usual thriller; it feels a bit more grounded, which I appreciate.
