So, Supermarket Pink is an interesting little piece from 1980. It's the last Pink Panther theatrical short, which adds a kind of bittersweet charm to it. The animation has that classic look, all pastel colors and smooth movements, typical of the series. You see the Pink Panther zipping around Tony's Supermarket, and there's this amusing chase with the Little Man that feels like a nod to the series' slapstick roots. The pacing is pretty brisk, keeping you engaged without too much downtime. And, it’s notable for being the last short directed by Brad Case and scored by Steve DePatie, which gives it a sort of nostalgic weight. It captures that playful essence of the franchise while also marking its end, which is kind of poignant in a way.
Final Pink Panther theatrical cartoon.Last project by Brad Case and Steve DePatie.Notable for its animation style and brisk pacing.
