Supermen Against the Orient is a curious blend of action and comedy, all wrapped up in a 70s vibe that's hard to pin down. Bitto Albertini gives us a film where Robert Wallace heads to Hong Kong to take on drug traffickers, but the real charm comes from the quirky interactions with Tang, Suzy, and the fellow Supermen, Max & Jerry. The pacing is a bit uneven, swinging from slapstick humor to more serious moments, but it somehow works. The practical effects are on the lower end of the spectrum, yet there's a charm to the way they pull off the stunts. Performances feel very much of their time—over-the-top yet engaging, making this a distinctive watch in the realm of Italian genre cinema.
