So, 'Tactical Force' is kind of an interesting slice of action cinema from 2011. The premise is straightforward but effective – LAPD SWAT Team in a training exercise gone awry, trapped in a hangar, and facing off against two rival gangs. I mean, talk about a pressure cooker. The script has its flaws, sure, but there's something about the pacing that keeps you engaged. The atmosphere is tense, especially considering they’re armed with blanks, which adds an unexpected layer of realism. Practical effects come into play, which is always a plus in my book. The performances are a mixed bag; some hit the mark, others, not so much. Still, it has that raw energy that can be compelling.
