Take Care of My Cat is a really intimate look at friendship and change. The director, Jeong Jae-eun, captures that post-school drift in a way that feels very authentic. Each of the characters is distinct, and their evolving relationships are fleshed out beautifully. The pacing is gentle, almost languid, which suits the themes of nostalgia and loss. The performances are raw, particularly from the lead, who navigates her character's emotional landscape with quiet strength. The film's visuals have this lovely, soft quality that enhances the overall tone. Plus, the way it portrays the everyday lives and struggles of young women in Korea is refreshingly candid. It’s not flashy, but there’s something very real about it.
