Tales of the Tinkerdee is an interesting piece of Muppet history, shot back in the summer of '62. The atmosphere feels quite whimsical, typical of early Henson productions, but there’s a certain rawness to it since it never aired. The pacing is a bit uneven, reflecting that experimental era before they found their groove. You’ve got Kermit, Taminella Grinderfall, and King Goshposh in a unique setup that hints at the more polished narratives we’d see later on. The practical effects have that charming, handcrafted vibe—definitely a contrast to today’s CGI. The performances, though a bit rough around the edges, carry that lighthearted spirit that Henson was known for, making it a quirky watch for those who appreciate the evolution of his work.
