Teke Teke is a pretty unsettling horror flick you don't forget easily. The premise has this upper torso of a girl crawling around, searching for her lost legs after a train accident. It’s got a raw atmosphere that really evokes the eerie vastness of rural Japan. The pacing is a bit slow but builds tension effectively. Practical effects do a good job here, giving that visceral feel to the whole thing. The way they portray her desperation? It’s haunting, especially when you consider the folklore roots. It’s not your typical slasher, more of an urban legend come to life, which gives it a distinctive edge. And while the performances might not be Oscar-worthy, they fit the vibe well enough.
Great for fans of Japanese folklore horror. Not heavy on jump scares, relies on atmosphere.Check it out if you appreciate practical effects.
