Texas Rangers is a pretty straightforward Western that wears its heart on its sleeve. Set in the post-Civil War era, it captures a raw feeling of lawlessness along the Mexican border. The pacing can be uneven at times, but it helps build tension when the action does kick in. The performances, especially from the lead, are solid, though some of the younger cast members might feel a bit green. It's interesting to see how they portray the Rangers as more of a ragtag group than the polished heroes we often expect. Practical effects are used, which lend a gritty authenticity, and the cinematography does a decent job of capturing the vast Texas landscape. It’s definitely worth a watch if you’re into historical action dramas.
