The 39th Nanny, Who Became Our Last is a curious blend of action and comedy that doesn't quite fit into the usual mold. The film spins a tale of criminals attempting a kidnapping that takes a wild turn, showcasing girls who are way more resourceful and cunning than you’d expect. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but it adds to the chaotic charm. The practical effects, especially during the action sequences, are surprisingly well done, giving it a grounded feel. Performances by the young actresses stand out; they really bring a unique energy, almost flipping the script on the whole damsel-in-distress trope. It’s an interesting watch if you appreciate offbeat narratives that highlight unexpected themes of empowerment.
