The 3rd Floor (2007) taps into that creeping dread we all know too well. It’s about this couple who move into an apartment, and all’s well until they start experiencing bizarre happenings linked to the eerie abandoned third floor. The atmosphere is thick and oppressive, really pulls you in. The pacing is pretty interesting too, taking its time to build tension before hitting you with some truly unsettling moments. The practical effects, while not overly flashy, do the job nicely, adding to that raw edge. And the performances? They really sell the couple's descent into paranoia. It’s not groundbreaking, but there’s something hauntingly effective about it that lingers long after the credits roll.
