The Anomaly is a curious mix of action and sci-fi with a real sense of urgency. Noel Clarke pulls double duty here as director and lead, and you can feel his investment in the story. The pacing is relentless; you're thrown into this mysterious setup with little time to breathe. The premise of a soldier waking up with only minutes to unravel his predicament creates a taut atmosphere, blending thriller elements with a touch of existential dread. Practical effects are used effectively, and the chase sequences have a raw quality that keeps things engaging. Clarke’s performance is solid, and while the plot twists can be a bit convoluted, it’s that tension and the questions it raises about identity that linger long after the credits roll.
