The Art of War is an interesting blend of action and thriller with a heavy dose of political intrigue. Directed by Christian Duguay, it follows Neil Shaw, played by Wesley Snipes, who embodies this shadowy figure operating in the corridors of power, doing the dirty work that’s not supposed to exist. The pacing is tight, weaving through tense moments that expose the darker sides of international diplomacy. There’s a pretty cool use of practical effects during the action sequences that stands out against the CGI-heavy environment of its time. The themes of betrayal and loyalty add depth, and Snipes gives a solid performance that balances toughness with vulnerability. Worth a watch for those who appreciate a good mix of action and cerebral plotting.
Good pacing that keeps you engaged.Interesting take on international espionage.Notable performances, especially by Wesley Snipes.
