The Big 4 really blends a quirky tone with some solid action and dark comedy. Timo Tjahjanto does an interesting job here, mixing genres that you wouldn’t always expect to work together. You've got this straight-laced detective who’s the perfect counterbalance to the ragtag group of assassins – their interactions can be pretty hilarious at times. The pacing moves along nicely, not too rushed, letting the characters breathe, especially in those more emotional moments when they're digging into the father’s murder. Practical effects pop up here and there, adding a nice touch to the action sequences. The performances are varied but hit the right notes, giving each character a distinct flavor that keeps things engaging throughout.
