The Brotherhood 2: Young Warlocks has this raw, edgy vibe that feels very early 2000s. It's set in a private school backdrop, which adds a sort of claustrophobic tension. John, our protagonist, is a bit of a reluctant anti-hero, and the bullying jocks really set up the classic high school dynamic. But then there's Luc, the mysterious misfit who introduces witchcraft as a means of revenge. The practical effects used for the spells add a certain charm, albeit a bit cheesy at times, but that’s part of its appeal. The pacing is uneven, but it captures that teen angst well, and the themes of friendship, power, and revenge run deep, making it a curious watch for genre enthusiasts.
