The Glass Cell is a rather intriguing piece from Geißendörfer. It's got this gritty atmosphere, really pulls you into the protagonist's torment. The pacing's deliberate, which adds to the overall sense of dread and uncertainty. The performances, especially from the lead, are quite compelling; you can feel the weight of his experience. Themes of betrayal and jealousy are explored in a somewhat twisted way, and you can’t help but get drawn into his unraveling psyche. Visually, it’s not flashy, more about mood than spectacle, which I appreciate. The whole thing feels like a deep dive into the darker aspects of human relationships and the aftermath of injustice.
