The Gravity of Acting is quite a somber exploration of a theater actor, Sung Hyun, who’s been stuck in a loop of monotony for a decade. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, allowing you to really sit with Sung Hyun’s struggles. The atmosphere feels heavy, filled with moments that reflect on passion and the longing for something more. When his friend Gwang Sik offers him a shot at a film role, it’s like a breath of fresh air, but there's this underlying tension as he grapples with change. Performances are understated yet compelling; you really feel Sung Hyun’s internal conflict. It’s a nice contrast to the typical flashy narratives you see, diving deep into the psyche of an artist.
