So, 'The Greenskeeper' has this really odd blend of comedy and horror that’s pretty fascinating. It’s set in a country club, which gives it a somewhat stuffy atmosphere, but the whole premise is just off-kilter enough to keep you intrigued. The pacing is a bit uneven, but that actually works for it—there’s a mix of goofy gags and genuine tension. The killer, decked out in greenskeeper attire, uses golf tools in some surprisingly creative ways, which is a fun twist. The practical effects aren’t too shabby either; you can tell they had some fun with it. The performances have that almost amateur charm, which adds to the weirdness of the whole experience. It’s distinctive for sure, in that strange, niche way that only a few films manage to achieve.
Fun with friends, especially for a themed screening. Not your typical slasher; comedy elements can surprise.Great for those who appreciate campy horror.
