The Hateful Eight presents this tense, claustrophobic atmosphere that really pulls you in. Tarantino’s knack for dialogue is on full display—each character feels fleshed out, even if they’re not exactly likable. The whole film hinges on trust, or the lack thereof, with the blizzard outside reflecting the coldness of the betrayals happening inside. There's an interesting use of 70mm, which gives it a unique visual texture. The practical effects and the score by Ennio Morricone add a lot to that old Western vibe but with a modern twist. The pacing is deliberate, building tension in a way that's almost painful. Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell deliver standout performances, making you hang on every word.
