This 1996 animated feature from Disney really has a unique vibe. The story unfolds with some serious themes—like acceptance and the harshness of societal judgment—wrapped in striking animation. The character designs are quite striking, especially Quasimodo’s, and the music by Alan Menken has some standout numbers that still resonate. I always found the pacing interesting; it balances lighthearted moments with darker undertones quite well. The voice performances are solid, with Tom Hulce bringing a tender spirit to Quasimodo. It's not your typical Disney fare, which adds to its charm. Not to mention, the depiction of Paris and Notre Dame is simply beautiful, capturing that gothic atmosphere beautifully. Worth a look for any serious collector.
