The Intruder is an interesting blend of drama and horror, really playing on that slow burn of paranoia. You’ve got this young guy who’s convinced someone’s slipping in and out of his house at night, and it creates this heavy atmosphere. The pacing is deliberately slow, which might not be for everyone, but it really builds tension. The performances are raw, especially the lead, who captures that sense of dread well. There’s something to be said about the practical effects used here; they add this tangible quality that can sometimes be lost in CGI-heavy films. It dives into themes of isolation and the fragility of the mind, making it a distinctive entry, at least from what I've seen in recent indie horror.
