The Lost End is this eerie blend of adventure and horror that really nails a haunting atmosphere. It starts off pretty standard with Antoine's search for his missing family, but as he dives deeper into this underground cult scene, things take a darker turn. The pacing feels deliberately slow at times, which totally ramps up the tension. There's a real sense of isolation, especially when you get to that abandoned western town – it’s like a character all on its own. The practical effects are surprisingly well done, adding to the unsettling vibe. Performances are solid, particularly from the lead, who carries that desperation and determination. It’s not your typical mystery, and that’s what makes it stand out.
