The Man With The Top Hat is an interesting take on the horror genre, set in a dilapidated farmhouse that definitely gives off creepy vibes. Rosa and Natalie, the two protagonists, have a pretty realistic chemistry that plays well against the unsettling atmosphere of Villa Rosa. The pacing is deliberate, allowing that slow burn to really seep in, making the viewer feel the weight of the history and the underlying dread. There are some nice practical effects that add a tangible quality to the scares, rather than relying too much on CGI. It’s not groundbreaking, but there's something distinctive about how it tackles themes of fear and isolation, especially for two young women venturing into the unknown.
