The Miracle of P. Tinto is this quirky blend of comedy and fantasy that really captures the absurd lengths a couple will go to for parenthood. P. Tinto, a wafer factory owner, and his wife Olivia, face more than just the usual trials of trying to adopt; they’re sidetracked by these bizarre extraterrestrial midgets that somehow add to the chaos. The film has this surreal, almost whimsical tone, very much in line with Spanish absurdist humor. You might find the pacing a bit erratic, but that just adds to its charm. The practical effects are delightfully offbeat, and the performances have a certain earnestness that’s hard to shake off. It's definitely distinctive in its approach to themes of family and longing, all wrapped in a comedic package.
