So, 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' has a different vibe than the first two entries. It shifts the action to China, which is a departure, and you can feel Rob Cohen's directorial stamp in the pacing—it's brisk, maybe a bit too much at times. The CGI is pretty heavy, especially with the Dragon Emperor's army, but there are some neat practical effects scattered throughout. Brendan Fraser and his crew bring that charm, and Jet Li's performance as the emperor is interesting, though I feel like he got overshadowed by the spectacle. It’s got that blend of adventure and fantasy but leans hard into the action. Definitely a mixed bag, but you can’t deny the ambition behind it.
