The Occupant really digs into the psyche of its protagonist, an unemployed executive who's just lost everything. The pacing is quite deliberate, the tension builds steadily as you watch him spiral into obsession. It's interesting how the film explores themes of identity and desperation, making the viewer think about what we hold on to. The atmosphere is pretty claustrophobic, mostly set in that apartment, which adds to the tension. I found the practical effects understated but effective, enhancing the emotional weight rather than distracting from it. The performances are strong, especially the lead, who conveys a palpable sense of loss and desperation. Overall, it has a unique vibe that sticks with you.
