The Opportunists is an interesting mix of comedy and crime with a bit of that raw, street-level drama. Vic, played with a kind of weary charm, feels like every struggling auto mechanic you've ever met—down on his luck but still holding onto some pride. His cousin shows up, and that’s where the film really gets rolling. There's a laid-back but tense atmosphere throughout, especially as they plot this heist. You can sense the tension in the pacing; it doesn't rush but rather simmers, letting you soak in the characters' desperation and the consequences of their choices. The performances have a natural quality that really draws you in. Not something you'd typically see, but it has its own little quirks that make it memorable.
