The Opposite Sex and How to Live with Them is a light-hearted romp that dives into the often awkward dynamics of romantic pursuit. You've got David, a not-so-charming guy, who seems to stumble into Carrie, the smart and wealthy woman who finds him grating at first. There’s a certain charm to the way they interact, with David’s persistence clashing against Carrie’s initial disdain. The comedic timing is decent, and you can feel a certain chemistry building, however unevenly. It’s a typical 90s rom-com but with a bit of a twist on the usual tropes. The film captures that era's dating nuances well, making it both amusing and, at times, painfully relatable.
Check for its period-specific humor.Interesting dynamic between the leads. Not your typical rom-com pacing.
