So, The Perfect House is this 2012 horror flick that's got a pretty interesting structure. It weaves together three different horror tales with a framing story that really ties them to this young couple's prospective dream house. The atmosphere is heavy with dread, and the pacing shifts as you move between stories, keeping you on your toes. Practical effects are used pretty effectively, which gives it a nice old-school vibe. The performances are decent, nothing groundbreaking but they serve the stories. The whole concept of a house holding dark secrets is classic, but it feels fresh here. It’s got that creeping unease that sticks with you, definitely a unique entry for collectors who appreciate anthology horror.
