The Polar Express is a unique blend of CGI and live-action, directed by Zemeckis. It captures that nostalgic Christmas vibe with a slightly eerie undertone, which I find intriguing. The animation is something else—it's got that uncanny valley feel that can be off-putting but also really distinct. Tom Hanks voices several characters, and his performances add a warmth that sort of ties it all together. The pacing is a bit uneven, particularly in the middle, but it really dives into themes of belief and wonder. Plus, the train sequences and North Pole visuals are just striking, even if they might not be everyone's cup of tea.
