So, 'The Prey' is this gritty piece that dives into the dark side of human nature. It’s got that raw, unforgiving atmosphere, really sets the tone early on. You’ve got this innocent guy, thrown into the hell of a Cambodian prison, and then it spirals into this twisted hunt. The pacing is intense; it keeps you on edge. The practical effects are solid, not overdone, which I appreciate. The performances, especially from the lead, are intense and really sell the desperation of the situation. It’s kind of disturbing how it plays with the theme of survival and morality. Not your typical action flick, that’s for sure.
