The Raven Chronicles is an intriguing dive into a twisted fantasy world, where cloning and identity take center stage. The atmosphere feels dark and haunting, almost claustrophobic, as Professor Kullah's lab becomes a prison for the Raven Girl clones. You can really sense the desperation and fight in each clone, even as they're pitted against the Scholomancer's relentless tests. The pacing might throw some off, but it builds a kind of tension that keeps you on edge. The practical effects are pretty striking, giving the film a raw, gritty feel that enhances its themes of exploitation and the search for self. While the director remains unknown, the performances by the cast bring a certain depth that you don’t often see in lower-budget fantasy flicks.
