The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw is this quirky blend of comedy and Western that just stands out, you know? Raoul Walsh really captures that wild West vibe, but with a twist. The pacing has a nice flow, with moments of slapstick humor thrown in that keep it light. Jonathon Tibbs, played by the always charming Kenneth More, is this fish-out-of-water character, and his unintentional rise to sheriff is just too amusing. The practical effects with the wrist-mounted Derringer add a unique flair, and it’s interesting how the film plays with themes of perception versus reality in the Old West. It’s not your typical Western, which is what makes it distinctive. The atmosphere is a mix of whimsy and classic Western tropes, making it quite an experience.
Features a unique twist on the typical Western narrative.Fun depiction of the fish-out-of-water trope.Interesting use of practical effects with weaponry.
