So, 'The Upside' gives us this intriguing dynamic between Phillip, a wealthy quadriplegic, and Dell, a guy just trying to get his life back on track. The pacing feels right, mixing lighter comedic moments with deeper themes of friendship and redemption. You can really see the contrasts in their worlds—Phillip's luxury against Dell's struggles. I thought the performances were really solid; Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston bring this genuine chemistry to the screen. It’s interesting how they tackle humor within serious situations, which not every film pulls off well. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, despite the serious undertones, which gives it a unique charm you don't see everywhere.
