So, 'The Wonderful World of Dogs' is this quirky little gem from 1990 that really takes you into the lives of various dogs and their owners. You’ve got this woman who’s pretty much at war with the neighborhood canines, trying to keep her lawn pristine amidst a parade of pooches doing their business. There’s a pelican, yes, a pelican that might just eye your Chihuahua as a snack. The pacing is relaxed, letting you soak in the absurdity of each dog's personality - one likes to wear women's clothes (hilarious) while another’s got a rubber obsession. It’s got a strange charm, a mix of humor and oddity, and really showcases the diverse quirks of dog ownership. Can't say it's a traditional documentary, but it certainly is distinctive.
